Full Job Description Position Summary:
Arc Beverly is seeking a reliable, skilled, and service-oriented Prep/Line Cook to support kitchen operations during daily service, private events, and special activations. As part of the culinary team at our boutique, members-only club, this role is essential in executing high-quality food with consistency, professionalism, and attention to detail. Ideal candidates bring a team-first mindset, a calm demeanor under pressure, and a passion for elevated hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes, presentation standards, and portion controls Assist with prep and production for both restaurant service and private events Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies prior to service Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations throughout shift Support execution of event menus including passed hors d'oeuvres, plated meals, and buffet service Collaborate with culinary and service teams to ensure smooth and timely execution of all dishes Uphold food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards in all aspects of work Assist with receiving and proper storage of food deliveries Communicate any equipment malfunctions or supply needs to the Chef or management team Participate in kitchen closing and cleaning procedures Perform additional duties as assigned to support kitchen and club operations
Qualifications:
2+ years culinary experience in upscale restaurants, hotels, or catering/events Strong knife skills and understanding of basic cooking techniques Ability to follow direction and work efficiently in a fastpaced environment Teamoriented with strong communication and timemanagement skills Familiarity with health department standards and food safety best practices Flexible schedule including availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and special events Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for long periods of time Current California Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain prior to first shift)
