Approximately 46.5 hours per week About the Role We are looking for a dependable, easygoing, and hardworking Assistant Manager to help oversee daily restaurant operations. This position is hands-on and requires someone who can multitask, communicate well, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate should be independent, organized, and comfortable handling both kitchen responsibilities and operational duties. Basic cooking knowledge is preferred, especially familiarity with Japanese/Korean food and sushi-related ingredients and supplies — but we are also willing to train the right person who is eager to learn. Responsibilities Managing and organizing restaurant inventory Making supply and grocery runs for the restaurant Communicating with owner regarding inventory needs and special orders through text and phone calls Assisting with food prep and cooking during lunch and dinner service Supporting daily kitchen operations and maintaining cleanliness Helping manage catering preparation and schedule adjustments Monitoring ingredient levels and sushi/Japanese/Korean supply items Assisting with general restaurant operations as needed Working weekends consistently Requirements Must be reliable and punctual Must be easygoing and capable of working independently Strong communication skills through text and phone Some cooking or kitchen experience preferred Knowledge of Japanese/Korean cuisine or sushi ingredients/supplies is a plus Willingness to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment Ability to lift supplies and assist with inventory runs Flexible schedule for catering order days and operational needs
