Duties Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality specifications Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and food processors safely and efficiently Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices Follow safety standards in production to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and delivery times Ensure adherence to food safety management protocols, including proper storage, labeling, and temperature controls Experience Previous experience in a food service environment, preferably in a restaurant or catering setting Knowledge of dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus Strong culinary skills including knife techniques, slicing methods, and meal preparation expertise Familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment and cooking techniques Understanding of food safety regulations, food handling procedures, and safety standards in production Experience with recipe adherence, menu execution, and food industry best practices Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen team members Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
