With that in mind... Our restaurant has been serving the community for over 20 years and has experienced significant growth in recent years. We are looking for someone who can bring strong culinary skills, creativity, organization and leadership to the kitchen. This position includes grill, charbroil, saute, prep, and menu development responsibilities. We focus on fresh ingredients, and a vegetable-forward menu, with daily specials and frequent opportunities for creative input. Our kitchen is compact and fast-paced, requiring efficiency, organization, and the ability to perform well under pressure. The ideal candidate will help improve kitchen systems, maintain consistency, and contribute to a positive, productive work environment. We value professionalism, accountability, respect, and teamwork. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates effectively, and is committed to helping the entire team succeed. Responsibilities Prepare and execute menu items with consistency, quality, and attention to detail Operate grill, charbroiler, saute, and prep stations efficiently Assist in menu planning, food presentation, and the development of daily specials Create and execute daily specials using seasonal and available ingredients Handle food safely by following proper food handling, sanitation, and health department standards Lead and support food preparation, portioning, and station organization Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service during high-volume periods Demonstrate strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques Assist with inventory management, ordering, food cost control, and waste reduction Monitor prep levels and help maintain production schedules to ensure smooth service Contribute ideas that improve kitchen efficiency, workflow, and guest satisfaction Help establish and maintain kitchen systems that promote organization, accountability, and efficient service Assist in training and mentoring kitchen staff to maintain consistency and quality Identify opportunities to improve food quality, consistency, and profitability Contribute to catering events and special functions Experience 2+ years of professional kitchen experience required, leadership experience a plus Strong skills in grill, saute, prep, and knife work Experience working efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining quality and consistency Ability to stay organized, prioritize tasks, and perform efficiently under pressure Understanding of inventory management food costing, waste reduction, and kitchen operations Experience creating specials, contributing to menu development, or improving kitchen systems in highly valued Current Food Handler Card required; Food Manager certification is a plus Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work well as a part of a team Must be dependable and professional
