Line Cook Jp's Family Restaurant and Sports Lounge Castro Valley, CA Job Details Full-time $25 - $28 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Grilling Organizational skills Kitchen grills Food preparation Time management Full Job Description We are looking for an experienced Line Cook who can handle busy, high-volume breakfast, lunch, and dinner service with speed, consistency, and attention to detail. Responsibilities Prepare eggs, omelets, breakfast meats, potatoes, pancakes, French toast, and other American-style dishes. Manage multiple breakfast tickets and coordinate timing efficiently during busy rushes. Work grill, sauté, fry, pantry, and expo stations as needed. Demonstrate knowledge of proper meat cooking temperatures. Complete daily prep, including sauces, soups, dressings, and other house-made items. Follow recipes, portioning, plating, FIFO, and food-safety standards. Keep stations clean, organized, fully stocked, and ready for service. Use safe and efficient knife techniques. Assist with inventory, daily specials, and team training as needed. Qualifications Three or more years of professional line-cook experience preferred. Strong breakfast-line experience is highly preferred. Must be confident cooking eggs and omelets to order in a high-volume kitchen. Strong knife, preparation, organization, and time-management skills. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Must be available to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
