As a Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing delicious and nutritious meals that cater to the diverse tastes and dietary needs of our residents. About the
Role:
As a Cook at Westmont at San Miguel Ranch, you will be responsible for: Preparing and cooking meals in a commercial kitchen setting, following established recipes and menu plans Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards Interacting with residents and staff to ensure exceptional customer service and build positive relationships Collaborating with other culinary team members to create a warm and inviting dining experience Maintaining inventory and ordering supplies as needed
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including entrees, sides, and desserts Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards Assist with food preparation, including meal planning, food ordering, and inventory management Provide exceptional customer service to residents and staff, ensuring a positive dining experience Collaborate with the culinary team to create menus, plan meals, and prepare special occasion dishes
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required 1+ year of experience in a commercial kitchen setting preferred Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety procedures Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for long periods, and move quickly in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills
