Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality specifications Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, and slicers Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards Assist in meal assembly, plating, and presentation to ensure visual appeal Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and meet service timelines Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure safety Support menu planning efforts by providing feedback on recipes and ingredient quality when needed Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a strong foundation in culinary techniques Excellent knife skills, including slicing techniques for various ingredients Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production Ability to execute recipes accurately while maintaining consistency in taste and presentation Strong communication skills for effective coordination with kitchen team members Experience with catering or large-scale meal preparation is a plus Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Background in dietary department or dietary aide roles is advantageous for understanding specialized meal requirements Embark on a culinary journey where your skills will be valued, your creativity encouraged, and your dedication recognized.
