Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques Ensure all food handling practices comply with food safety regulations to maintain hygiene and quality Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen station, including proper storage of ingredients Support food preparation activities such as chopping, marinating, and assembling dishes for service Collaborate with team members to deliver efficient food service during busy hours Follow all safety protocols related to knife skills, cooking equipment, and sanitation procedures Skills Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within restaurants or the food industry Strong knife skills with the ability to handle various cutting techniques safely and efficiently Knowledge of dietary department standards and dietary aide experience is a plus Ability to work quickly while maintaining attention to detail in meal presentation and quality control Familiarity with menu planning, catering, and serving practices in a fast-paced environment Understanding of food safety protocols including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively under pressure Embark on a culinary journey where your skills make a difference!
