We specialize in on-site and off-site catering services, including elegant-plated dinners, buffets, corporate catering, cocktail receptions, interactive stations, bar services, and wine dinners. Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Line Cook / Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This role is critical to the preparation and execution of high-quality dishes for catered events. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food, committed to maintaining high standards, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation:
Assist with prepping ingredients and assembling dishes in accordance with company recipes and portion guidelines.Line Cooking:
Execute hot and cold dishes on the line during events and production shifts, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.Event Support:
Participate in on-site event kitchen setup, breakdown, and food service as needed.Quality Control:
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety throughout all kitchen operations.Inventory & Storage:
Properly store, label, and rotate ingredients and prepared items to minimize waste.Team Collaboration:
Work closely with chefs, event chefs, and kitchen leadership to ensure smooth kitchen operations and on-time event execution.Compliance:
Follow all health, sanitation, and safety regulations in accordance with local and company standards. Skills and QualificationsExperience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen or catering environment preferred.Technical Skills:
Basic knife skills, familiarity with kitchen equipment, and understanding of prep and line cooking techniques.Work Ethic:
Strong sense of urgency, punctuality, and reliability.Team Player:
Cooperative, respectful, and communicative in a team setting.Adaptability:
Willingness to work varied shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.Certifications:
Current food handler's card required; ServSafe certification preferred. Preferred Experience- Previous catering, banquet, or event cooking experience.
- Exposure to high-volume kitchen production and plated or buffet-style events. Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding kitchen environment.
