In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of sautéed dishes with precision and flair, ensuring every plate meets our high standards of quality and presentation. Your expertise in food preparation, kitchen equipment operation, and food safety will help create memorable dining experiences for our guests. Responsibilities Prepare and cook sautéed dishes according to standardized recipes and menu specifications, maintaining consistency and quality. Operate kitchen equipment such as stoves, grills, fryers, and other appliances safely and efficiently. Ensure all food handling procedures adhere to strict food safety and sanitizing protocols to prevent contamination. Assist with menu planning by providing input on dish preparation techniques and ingredient selection. Maintain cleanliness of the work station, including proper sanitizing of utensils, surfaces, and equipment throughout the shift. Collaborate with team members to coordinate meal production during high-volume service times. Follow food safety management practices, including proper storage, portion control, and waste reduction strategies. Qualifications Previous experience as a saute cook or in a similar culinary role within the food industry is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques such as braising, poaching, grilling, and food production methods. Demonstrated knife skills and proficiency in operating various kitchen equipment safely. Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation in fine dining or restaurant settings. Familiarity with dietary department procedures, catering experience, or high-volume production environments is a plus. Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling regulations to ensure compliance. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
