Assist other back of the house employees in various kitchen tasks including ensuring ingredients are in house and up to specifications, providing general cleaning and sanitizing equipment for cooking, washing and storing of food. Being present in the kitchen and communicating with others. Measuring ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking Ensure ingredients are properly kept at appropriate temperature Ensure availability and quality of ingredients at all times Clean work equipment, dishes, utensils, and work areas Prepare food stuff according to instructions from customer and supervisor order Package prepared foods to fit customer's need Prepare for cooking process by cutting, washing, peeling, and cutting required foods Tender food to waiters/waitresses to serve up to customers Report damaged equipment and low supplies to supervisors Prepare dishes for plating Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines Perform other kitchen duties as assigned Monitor with care the temperature of the cooking equipment and cooling rooms Eligible to work in the United States Qualifications Experience as a prep cook is preferred but not required. Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen.
