Martinez, CA Pay:
$19.00-$20.00 per hour Part-Time Join Our Dietary Team and Make Every Meal Matter Alhambra Post Acute is seeking a dependable and experienced Cook to join our dietary team on a part-time basis. As a Cook, you'll help provide nutritious, appealing meals while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, sanitation, and resident satisfaction. $19.00-$20.00 per hour Part-time schedule Supportive leadership and team-oriented environment Stable healthcare setting Opportunities for growth and advancement Make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents every day What You'll Do Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus and standardized recipes Ensure meals are prepared accurately for regular, therapeutic, and modified diets Prepare pureed and texture-modified foods as needed Follow portion control guidelines and maintain food quality standards Record food temperatures and ensure food safety compliance Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and food preparation areas Clean cooking equipment, serving carts, and workstations Maintain sanitizer solutions and follow infection control procedures Assist with meal service as needed Help ensure all cleaning schedules are completed Communicate resident concerns and dietary issues to nursing and leadership Assist with training dietary staff and provide leadership in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 1 year of cooking experience in a skilled nursing facility, hospital, healthcare, or long-term care setting preferred Ability to prepare meals in large quantities while maintaining quality and consistency Knowledge of therapeutic and special diets preferred Ability to read recipes, menus, and written instructions Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent teamwork and communication skills Ability to work independently and supervise kitchen operations when needed Preferred Qualifications Current or ability to obtain ServSafe Certification Experience with PCC (PointClickCare) preferred Must remain in good standing with the Department of Public Health About Alhambra Post Acute Alhambra Post Acute is a skilled nursing and rehabilitation community committed to delivering exceptional care in a compassionate, resident-centered environment.
