Our Cooks are responsible for preparing high-quality food with consistency, urgency, and attention to detail while helping create the guest experience that keeps people coming back. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in their craft, and understands that great pizza starts with great execution. From dough preparation and pizza assembly to food safety and kitchen cleanliness, our Cooks play a key role in delivering the quality and consistency Odie's is known for. We're looking for team players who stay calm under pressure, support their teammates, and bring positive energy to every shift. Core Responsibilities Prepare pizzas and menu items according to company recipes, specifications, and quality standards Assist with dough preparation, topping assembly, baking, and food production Read and execute tickets accurately and efficiently during service Monitor food quality, temperature, appearance, and consistency Follow portioning standards and recipe specifications Maintain food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene standards at all times Properly label, date, rotate, and store food products Complete food temperature checks and required kitchen logs Track and document discarded product and remade orders on daily inventory sheets Assist with inventory counts and maintain awareness of key food items Help ensure food and supplies are stocked and ready for service Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation throughout the shift Report equipment issues or maintenance needs to leadership Support teammates and assist with other kitchen responsibilities as needed Qualifications Required Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining quality and service standards. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow recipes, procedures, and food safety guidelines. Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain urgency during busy shifts. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members. Ability to read and follow tickets, recipes, and kitchen production guides. Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds as required for the position. Reliable attendance, punctuality, and accountability in meeting job responsibilities. Preferred One year of kitchen, food preparation, pizza-making, or related restaurant experience preferred. Demonstrated interest in food quality, consistency, and creating positive guest experiences. Willingness and ability to learn new processes, procedures, and kitchen operations. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, twisting, and moving throughout scheduled shifts; lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds; using hands and arms to prepare food, operate kitchen equipment, stock supplies, and complete cleaning tasks; and working safely and efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment with exposure to hot and cold temperatures. Must be able to read order tickets, recipes, food labels, and safety information. Work Schedule / Travel Requirements Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. No travel is required for this position.
