Job Description

The Lead Line Cook at The Hacienda Mission San Luis Rey plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences by leading the kitchen line and ensuring high-quality food preparation. This position requires strong leadership, culinary expertise, and the ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment while working efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities Lead and supervise kitchen line staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations during service hours. Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards. Ensure all food is prepared safely and hygienically, complying with health and safety regulations. Assist with inventory management and stock rotation. Collaborate with kitchen team to maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen. Support the Chef in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff. Help manage kitchen workflow to meet customer demand and minimize waste. Requirements Previous experience as a line cook or similar kitchen role, preferably in a leadership capacity. Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen safety standards. Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. Food Handler's Certification is required. Benefits Competitive hourly wage of $25.00, paid bi-weekly.
