The ideal candidate would have experience working with seniors. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in various kitchen environments, including restaurants and catering services. The Cook will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, ensuring food safety standards are met, and contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests. Duties Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food handling procedures are followed to maintain safety and hygiene. Assist in menu planning and the development of new recipes. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including utensils, equipment, and workspaces. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or needs to management. Adhere to portion control guidelines to minimize waste while ensuring quality. Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety practices. Experience Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar culinary role is preferred. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food handling, and meal preparation. Experience in fine dining or catering environments is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining high standards of quality.
