In this role, you will be responsible for preparing delicious, high-quality meals for breakfast and lunch service, ensuring all dishes meet our standards of taste, presentation, and safety. Your expertise in food preparation, menu planning, and kitchen operations will contribute to creating a welcoming environment where guests enjoy memorable dining experiences. This position offers an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals who thrive in fast-paced settings and are eager to showcase their skills in a vibrant food service environment. Duties Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch dishes according to established recipes, menus, and dietary guidelines Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, braising pans, poaching stations, and food processors Ensure all food handling and sanitation procedures comply with food safety regulations and sanitizing protocols Assist with menu planning by suggesting new recipes or modifications to enhance meal offerings Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and portion control during meal production Support dietary department needs by adhering to specific dietary restrictions and meal plans Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during high-volume production periods Follow food safety management practices to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a clean working environment Experience Proven experience as a cook in a high-volume restaurant or catering setting with a focus on breakfast and lunch service Strong knowledge of food industry standards, including food safety sanitizing procedures and proper food handling techniques Demonstrated proficiency in culinary skills such as grilling, braising, poaching, knife skills, and recipe adherence Experience with menu planning, food production, and operating commercial kitchen equipment Background in dietary aide or dietary department environments is preferred Familiarity with fine dining or restaurant experience is advantageous but not required Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in meal preparation Join us if you're ready to bring your culinary talents to life in a lively environment where your skills make a difference!
