Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Back Line Prep Cook, where your energy and culinary skills will help create a seamless kitchen operation. In this vital role, you'll be responsible for preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the kitchen staff to deliver exceptional meals. Your dedication to food safety, recipe adherence, and efficient food preparation will contribute directly to the overall dining experience. Duties Prepare fresh ingredients by chopping, slicing, and portioning according to recipes and standards Assist in meal assembly and food plating to ensure timely service Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including slicers, mixers, and ovens Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards Support the kitchen team with food handling, storage, and inventory management Follow recipe instructions meticulously to ensure consistency and quality in every dish Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate prep tasks and meet service deadlines Requirements Prior experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable Proven food preparation and cooking skills within a restaurant or food industry setting Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient handling Experience operating various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Ability to follow detailed recipes and meal preparation procedures accurately Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen staff Familiarity with catering or large-scale food service operations is a plus Demonstrated commitment to cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety regulations This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to expand their culinary knowledge while contributing to a vibrant team dedicated to excellence in food service.
