Job Description
The Pita - San Clemente, CA Job Overview The Pita is looking for a reliable, hardworking Prep Cook to join our growing Mediterranean kitchen. This position is responsible for food preparation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, stocking stations, and supporting the line during busy service periods. We're looking for someone who works well in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in preparing fresh, high-quality food. Responsibilities Prepare vegetables, sauces, spreads, and toppings daily Portion and label proteins and ingredients Cook rice and prepare menu items according to recipes Maintain food quality, freshness, and presentation standards Stock and organize kitchen stations throughout the shift Wash dishes and keep work areas clean and sanitized Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures Assist line cooks during lunch and dinner rushes Receive and properly store deliveries Complete opening and closing cleaning duties Qualifications Restaurant or food service experience preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety Reliable transportation and punctual attendance Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs Food Handler Card preferred (or willingness to obtain) Schedule Part-Time and Full-Time positions available Day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts available Flexible scheduling Compensation Competitive hourly pay based on experience Employee meal discounts Growth opportunities as The Pita expands About The Pita The Pita is a fast-casual Mediterranean restaurant serving fresh bowls, wraps, kabobs, salads, and house-made sauces.
