Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Line Cook/Prep Cook, where your passion for food and dedication to excellence will shine! In this energetic role, you'll be instrumental in preparing delicious, high-quality dishes that delight our guests. You will work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations, maintain safety standards, and uphold our commitment to exceptional food service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills in a fast-paced environment while contributing to memorable dining experiences. Duties Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients with precision using proper knife skills and slicing techniques Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, fryers, mixers, and food processors Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen appliances to meet strict food safety and sanitation standards Follow food handling procedures meticulously to ensure safety and quality during meal production Support menu planning efforts by suggesting improvements and ensuring consistency in dish presentation Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service during busy hours Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a strong understanding of kitchen operations Knowledge of dietary department standards and dietary aide experience is a plus Skilled in food preparation techniques, including cooking methods and recipe adherence Excellent knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques for various ingredients Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Strong understanding of food safety management practices and safety standards in production environments Effective communication skills for coordinating with kitchen staff and serving teams Experience with catering or large-scale meal preparation is advantageous Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene through consistent cleaning routines Knowledge of food industry best practices related to food handling, safety, and sanitation Embark on a culinary journey where your skills will be valued, your growth supported, and your contributions celebrated.
