We are specifically looking for someone who is comfortable with food preparation and supporting the kitchen team in a busy Japanese ramen restaurant. This position is focused primarily on prep work rather than working as a line cook.

Responsibilities include:

Prepare vegetables, meats, sauces, toppings, and other ingredients according to restaurant standards Cut, portion, measure, and organize ingredients for daily service Prepare ingredients used for ramen, rice dishes, appetizers, and other menu items Maintain proper food rotation, labeling, and storage Keep prep areas, equipment, utensils, and tools clean and sanitary Restock ingredients and supplies as needed Follow food safety and sanitation procedures Assist with general kitchen duties and cleaning when needed Communicate and work closely with other kitchen team members Help maintain an organized and efficient kitchen

What We're Looking For:

Previous restaurant, kitchen, or food-preparation experience is preferred Comfortable using knives and basic kitchen equipment Able to work efficiently and accurately with repetitive prep tasks Reliable, punctual, and responsible Able to follow recipes, instructions, and portion standards Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment Team-oriented and willing to help wherever needed Able to maintain a clean and organized work area Reliable transportation to Daikokuya Torrance Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Experience in a Japanese restaurant, ramen restaurant, or similar kitchen environment is a plus, but not required for the right candidate.

$18.00 per hour
