This role is vital in ensuring smooth meal service, food preparation, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, attention to detail, and a passion for culinary excellence to help deliver nourishing and delicious meals to our community. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience in food handling, kitchen operations, and customer service within a dynamic environment. Duties Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to menu plans and dietary guidelines Support kitchen staff with basic cooking tasks, including chopping, mixing, and plating food items Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, dining areas, and food storage spaces Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to uphold safety standards Serve meals to residents or customers with friendly and professional service Aid in menu planning efforts by preparing ingredients and assisting with special dietary requests Follow all food safety regulations, including proper knife skills and sanitation practices Qualifications Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is preferred but not required Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques Experience in fine dining or restaurant environments is a plus Strong understanding of food safety, handling, and hygiene standards Basic culinary skills including knife proficiency and meal preparation techniques Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude toward teamwork Join us as a helper to contribute your culinary skills in a supportive environment that values quality service and nutritious meals.
