PM Shift, Full Time, OFF Tuesday & Wednesday Vista Gardens Memory Care is excited to announce we have Cook positions open for someone with a passion to care for others ! Essential Duties:
- Adhere to all guidelines and approved menus and recipes when preparing meals, snacks, and all other food items.
- Ensure meals and snacks meet standards for taste and appetizing presentation.
- Assist with preparing for special events, including holidays and community marketing events both in and outside of the community.
- Follow guidelines for preparing special diet meals. Prepare substitutions to meet resident's requests.
- Assist with serving residents as needed.
- Follow all sanitation, disposal, food labeling, and food storage guidelines and regulations. Record temperatures of refrigerators, freezers, and dishwashers.
- Maintain valid Serv Safe food handlers permit.
- Responsible for cleaning dining services areas as directed and as needed.
- Be prepared and plan for all meals and snacks to ensure timely service for all meals, activities, and events.
- Assist Dining Services Director with purchasing food and supplies, taking inventory, accepting deliveries, stocking, and maintaining safety as directed.
- Communicate any observed concerns, issues, or resident changes to management immediately.
- Always have a friendly and helpful attitude with residents, families, and guests.
- Encourage teamwork among all departments and assist with conflict resolution.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all protect health information or personal information of residents and employees.
- Per State of California regulations, as a "mandated reporter" you must report all known or suspected incidents of resident abuse of dependent adults or elders.
- Performs other duties as assigned and are consistent with the success of the position.
