Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated Cook (FULL TIME) to join our team. This position plays a vital role in supporting the dietary department by preparing nutritious meals, assisting with food service, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food production, food handling, and customer service within assisted living, nursing home, or hospital settings. This role offers flexible scheduling to meet the needs of our residents and facility operations. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble meals according to dietary guidelines, menus, and safety standards. Assist with food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure timely meal service. Support the dietary team in maintaining sanitation and cleanliness of kitchen equipment and work areas. Handle food safely by following proper food handling, sanitation, and storage procedures. Serve meals to residents or patients with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring their dietary needs are met. Assist with bussing tables, cleaning dishes, and maintaining overall kitchen organization. Follow all safety protocols related to food service, sanitation, and infection control standards. Qualifications Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is preferred. Knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety practices, and sanitation procedures. Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during meal times. Previous experience as a dietary aide or in food handling roles is advantageous. Excellent customer service skills with a respectful and compassionate approach to residents or patients. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Basic culinary skills combined with familiarity in meal preparation and food service operations are essential. Pay:
$17.00 - $19.50 per hour
