Responsibilities Prepare a variety of menu items with precision, adhering strictly to recipes and portion sizes. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, slicers, and other culinary tools. Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation in all areas of food handling and preparation. Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient selection and dish presentation. Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with safety standards, including proper storage, temperature control, and hygiene practices. Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to coordinate meal production and ensure timely service delivery. Keep the work area clean and organized by following cleaning schedules and procedures regularly. Skills Proven experience in food preparation within a dietary or restaurant environment. Strong knowledge of food safety management principles and safe handling practices. Skilled in culinary techniques such as slicing, chopping, cooking, and plating dishes attractively. Excellent knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques for various ingredients. Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining consistency across dishes. Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and catering operations is highly desirable. Effective communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with kitchen staff and other team members. Familiarity with operating commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
