We are looking for a flexible, energetic Assistant Cook who is ready to jump in wherever needed — from the kitchen to the classroom! In this role, you'll work closely with our lead cook to prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks, assist with dishwashing and kitchen clean-up, and ensure that all food handling and safety procedures are followed. But that's not all — when needed, you'll also step into classrooms to help cover teacher breaks, assist with activities, and be a friendly, familiar face for our students. We are looking for someone who: Has a positive, can-do attitude and thrives on teamwork Is flexible, adaptable, and comfortable switching gears throughout the day Loves working with both children and adults Is eager to learn and grow professionally Takes initiative and is willing to jump in wherever needed Can lift up to 30 pounds and remain on their feet for extended periods (Bonus) Has previous experience in food service, childcare, or both — but we are happy to train the right person!

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with daily meal preparation and kitchen operations Follow all food safety and allergy protocols Support dishwashing and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen Step into classrooms as needed to assist with supervision and activities Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to create a warm, welcoming environment This is a vital role in our center, and we are looking for someone who wants to be part of a supportive, hardworking team that puts kids first! JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Maintains Food Handler's Certification as required by state or local regulations. May be required to have appropriate state driver's license to obtain fingerprints to meet background check regulations.
