Our eight-building venue features more than 400 coin-operated video, pinball, and mechanical games, some more than a century old. We also offer pool tables, kiddie rides, photo booths, skee-ball, and our world-famous 12-horse Derby racing game manufactured in England. Each year, more than 150,000 families, travelers, and locals visit to experience the nostalgia, excitement, and simple fun that has made the Penny Arcade a Colorado destination for generations. Our snack bar is an exciting part of that experience, serving fresh paninis, smoothies, coffee, soft serve ice cream, beverages, and grab-and-go items. We're looking for an energetic Shift Lead who enjoys working with people, takes pride in quality, and helps create an outstanding guest experience. Job Description The Snack Bar Lead Cook serves as the leader on duty whenever the Snack Bar Manager is not present. This position combines hands-on food preparation, customer service, and team leadership while ensuring the snack bar operates efficiently, safely, and with exceptional hospitality. This is a working leadership position you'll be leading the team while actively serving guests, preparing food, and keeping operations running smoothly. What You'll Do
  • Lead the snack bar during assigned shifts.
  • Coach, support, and assist Window Attendants throughout the day.
  • Open and close the snack bar following established procedures.
  • Work a food production line.
  • Ensure food is prepared consistently and according to quality standards.
  • Operate the Point of Sale (Square) system and oversee accurate cash handling.
  • Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs.
  • Help receive and organize deliveries.
  • Maintain outstanding cleanliness and food safety standards.
  • Step in wherever needed during busy periods.
  • Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and positivity.

  • 1-2 years of food service experience.
  • Previous lead or supervisory experience.
  • Food preparation in a commercial kitchen.
  • Inventory management and ordering.
  • Cash handling and Point of Sale systems.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Food Protection Manager Certificate required within 30 days of hire. The Arcade will cover the cost.
  • ServSafe Certification is a plus.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and some early morning prep shifts. Physical Requirements
  • Stand for extended periods.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds (occasionally more with assistance).
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and walking.
  • Comfortable working around hot equipment, sharp utensils, and commercial kitchen equipment.
