Duties Assist with food preparation by chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients according to recipes and standards Support the cooking process by following established procedures for meal assembly and plating Maintain cleanliness of work stations, dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to uphold food safety standards Operate dishwashing machines and hand-wash cookware and utensils efficiently Ensure proper food handling and storage practices to prevent contamination and spoilage Help with menu planning support by organizing ingredients and preparing components for upcoming meals Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively with kitchen staff and servers Requirements Prior experience food service environments is highly desirable Basic knife skills and familiarity with food preparation techniques required Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures necessary for maintaining hygiene standards Experience in restaurant or catering settings preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail in meal preparation, cleanliness, and safety practices Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting kitchen operations This role is ideal for motivated individuals who thrive in energetic settings and are eager to develop their culinary expertise.
