Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Prep Cook and be a vital part of delivering exceptional dining experiences! In this energetic role, you will assist in preparing ingredients, assembling dishes, and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen environment. Your culinary skills and attention to safety standards will help ensure smooth kitchen operations and high-quality meal service. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your food industry expertise while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients according to recipes and menu specifications, including slicing, dicing, and portioning food items using proper knife skills and slicing techniques Assist in food preparation for daily service, ensuring timely and accurate meal assembly Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, ovens, fryers, and food processors Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen surfaces to uphold food safety standards and sanitation requirements Follow food handling procedures diligently to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safety management compliance Support menu planning efforts by organizing ingredients and assisting with inventory checks Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure smooth workflow during busy service times Requirements Prior experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable Proven food preparation and cooking experience within a restaurant or food service environment Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and proper food handling techniques Familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Strong understanding of food safety regulations and adherence to recipe instructions for consistent meal quality Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen team members Experience with catering or large-scale meal preparation is a plus Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects safely, and work in a fast-paced setting Embark on a rewarding culinary journey where your skills make a real difference! Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
