Responsibilities Assist with daily food preparation, including slicing bagels, preparing spreads, chopping ingredients, and assembling sandwiches according to Issac's Bagel Cafe standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and prep areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and properly disposing of waste Support cooking and warming processes while following food safety and quality guidelines Assist with front-of-house support when needed, including bussing tables, clearing plates, and keeping the café clean during busy hours Handle food safely by following proper hygiene, sanitation, and food handling procedures Assist with catering orders and large breakfast or lunch rushes, ensuring timely and accurate preparation Communicate effectively with team members to keep operations running smoothly in a fast-paced café setting Help create a positive, welcoming atmosphere for customers by supporting excellent service standards Qualification Previous experience in a café, deli, or restaurant is preferred but not required — we're happy to train the right person Basic understanding of food preparation, kitchen operations, and cleanliness standards Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and handle physically active tasks Experience with bagels, breakfast foods, sandwiches, or catering is a plus Positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic Familiarity with food safety and sanitation practices (or willingness to learn) Why Join Issac's Bagel Cafe?
