About the position:
Gilead is seeking a reliable and experienced Cook to join our Adult Residential Substance Use Treatment Program in the New Britain area. The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals for residents, ensuring an adequate inventory of food and kitchen supplies, assisting with meal planning and food production, and maintaining the kitchen and food preparation areas in accordance with all sanitation and safety standards. This position is a 32 hours per week position with some flexibility. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and committed to creating a positive dining experience for residents while supporting a clean and efficient kitchen environment.
Requirements:
High school diploma required 3 years cooking experience ServSafe certificate preferred Must maintain and provide proof of valid driver's license and automobile insurance in good standing
Responsibilities:
Preparing meals according to recipe instructions Setting the steam table and ensuring proper serving of food Ensuring the availability of supplies for planned menu Maintaining the workspace in compliance with established sanitation standards Maintaining daily production records The pay range for this role is $16.98 - $20.75 per hour based on years of related experience and demonstrated qualifications.
