Our kitchen focuses on delivering consistently high-quality food while supporting a fast-paced hospitality environment that includes daily service, private events, festivals, and seasonal programming. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Part-Time Line Cook who takes pride in preparation, organization, and execution. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative kitchen and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of food quality, cleanliness, and safety. Position Summary The Part-Time Line Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and plating menu items while maintaining an organized, clean, and efficient workstation. This role plays a critical part in ensuring every dish meets our culinary standards and is prepared in accordance with Department of Health regulations, food safety requirements, and industry best practices. Responsibilities Prepare and execute menu items according to established recipes, specifications, and presentation standards. Complete daily food preparation checklists and station setup to ensure service readiness. Maintain proper food handling, storage, labeling, rotation, and temperature control in accordance with Department of Health regulations. Follow all sanitation procedures and maintain a clean, organized workstation throughout each shift. Ensure consistent product quality while working efficiently during periods of high volume. Properly operate and maintain kitchen equipment while following all safety procedures. Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing deliveries as needed. Support kitchen cleaning duties, opening procedures, and closing responsibilities. Qualifications Previous line cook or kitchen experience mandatory. Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and Department of Health regulations. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 pounds. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require. Reliable transportation to and from work at 1625 Stratford Ave, Stratford, CT and reliable means of communication.
