This role is essential to keeping our kitchen running smoothly and delivering fresh, flavorful food to our guests. As a Prep / Line Cook, you will help prepare ingredients, prepare menu items, assist during service, and support the kitchen team while following food safety and cleanliness standards. This is a paid position with paid training and an opportunity to learn and grow in a supportive, fast-paced restaurant environment. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring to support daily kitchen operations Cook menu items and ingredients Assist with food preparation and assembly according to established recipes and presentation standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep area, following proper food handling and storage procedures Label, date, and store food items according to safety guidelines and FIFO practices Support the kitchen team during peak service times with timely and efficient preparation Follow all food safety, sanitation, and temperature control procedures Clean and sanitize workstations, utensils, and equipment as assigned Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and follow instructions from kitchen management Requirements Bilingual - Spanish and English Demonstrated experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant environments Strong knife skills and basic meal preparation techniques Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Experience in food service, catering, or similar establishments preferred Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong teamwork skills with a positive and reliable attitude Minimum of 1 year kitchen experience required Minimum of 1 year cooking experience required Familiarity with Mexican food and traditional ingredients preferred Knowledge of how to cook and prepare tortillas We're looking for motivated individuals who want to learn, work hard, and grow as part of our kitchen family.
