Responsibilities Prepare fresh ingredients for sushi rolls, including slicing fish, vegetables, and other fillings with precision using proper knife techniques Roll sushi according to established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring consistency and visual appeal Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations following food safety sanitizing procedures at all times Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including rice cookers, slicers, and refrigeration units Assist in menu planning by suggesting new roll combinations and ingredient pairings to enhance customer offerings Support food production efforts during high-volume service periods to meet customer demand without compromising quality Adhere strictly to food handling guidelines, dietary restrictions, and allergy protocols to ensure guest safety and satisfaction Requirements Prior experience in food service or culinary settings, especially with dietary aide or restaurant experience preferred Strong knife skills with the ability to handle delicate ingredients carefully and efficiently Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures in a commercial kitchen environment Experience with food preparation techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and cooking various proteins and vegetables Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and high-volume food production processes Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely while maintaining a clean work area Excellent food handling skills coupled with a passion for culinary arts and attention to detail Join us in creating memorable dining experiences by crafting beautiful sushi rolls that delight every guest!
