Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and energetic Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, assisting with menu planning, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Your enthusiasm for food preparation and dedication to safety standards will help deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and food processors Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen areas in compliance with food safety standards Support food handling procedures to ensure proper storage, temperature control, and hygiene practices Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service Follow safety protocols during food production to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment Skills Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within the food industry or restaurant settings Excellent knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient portioning Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining consistency in meal quality Effective communication skills for coordinating with kitchen staff and supporting team efforts Experience with catering or serving is a plus, demonstrating versatility in food service environments
