Starting Pay:

$16.00 per hour Role at a Glance This position is responsible for preparing, cooking, serving, and presenting meals while helping maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. Team members in this role help ensure residents receive quality meals in our care. Why This Role Matters Meals are an important part of each resident's day. This role helps create a positive dining experience while supporting the health, safety, and individualized needs of the residents we serve. Key Responsibilities & Duties Prepare and serve meals in accordance with company menus and recipes Prepare meals for regular, texture-modified, and therapeutic diets Cook food in large quantities while maintaining quality and consistency Follow food safety, sanitation, portioning, and storage guidelines Maintain clean and organized kitchen, prep, and storage areas Assist with meal preparation for holidays and special events Support kitchen opening and closing procedures Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries properly Ensure meals are visually appealing, nutritious, and served timely Supervise prep staff or kitchen support staff as directed Interact professionally with residents and assist with resident needs during meal service Complete all assigned training and ongoing education requirements Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous cooking, dietary, restaurant, or food service experience preferred Experience in healthcare, rehabilitation, assisted living, or long-term care is a plus Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong teamwork and communication skills Reliable attendance and punctuality required ServSafe Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) Schedule Full-Time & Part-Time opportunities available Weekend and holiday availability required
