Ed Oliver Golf Club , located in Wilmington, DE , is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Line Cook ! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon , you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management. Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served. Assists the Chef or Kitchen Manager with setup and preparation of food items for all food outlets on the property. Carefully follows standard recipes while preparing all assigned items. Assists the Chef or Kitchen Manager with conducting a monthly food and supplies inventory. Understands how to properly use and maintain the equipment. Performs necessary cleanup and sanitation maintenance activities for all food preparation and storage facilities as directed by the Chef or Kitchen Manager. Helps distribute food and supplies throughout the food outlets. Cleans food production, holding, and serving equipment when needed. Assists with product receiving and storage. Ensures full compliance with Department of Health regulations. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager. One to two years of cooking experience. Experience managing and upholding safe working conditions. Understanding of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures. Must be dependable. Must be able to work well in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work in a team environment. Must be able to take direction. High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Regularly stands, walks, bends, and scoops for extended periods of 6-8 hours. Regularly reaches with arms and hands. Occasionally lifts up to 30 pounds. Uses sight, reading, and wrist movement to serve meals and beverages, operate food service equipment, and clean food service areas. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Noise level is moderate to loud. Works extended hours during golf and holiday season. Works weekends and holidays. This position is anticipated to average 12-39 hours per week.
