Duties Prepare ingredients through slicing, dicing, portioning, and other food prep techniques using proper knife skills and slicing methods Assist in preparing components of various dishes according to standardized recipes Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, ovens, slicers, and other culinary tools Maintain cleanliness by cleaning workstations, utensils, and equipment regularly in accordance with food safety standards Support food preparation for catering events or large-scale service needs while adhering to recipe specifications Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate being prepared at all times. Follow food handling procedures and safety protocols diligently to uphold food safety management standards Qualifications Proven experience as a prep cook within a restaurant or catering environment Demonstrated ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in food preparation Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Excellent knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and portion control Understanding of food safety standards in production environments and proper food handling practices Ability to work quickly while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting Effective communication skills for collaborating with kitchen staff and ensuring smooth operations Join us as an Experienced Prep Cook and bring your culinary passion to life!
