Cook Job Summary We are seeking a talented Cook to join our team at Arabella Health and Wellness Center, a leading provider of healthcare services in Carabelle, Florida. As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing and serving high-quality meals to our residents and patients. Cook Responsibilities Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items Safely utilize a variety of utensils Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils Maintain excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards guests, residents, and co-workers Adhere to safety policies and procedures, including proper food safety and sanitation Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the manager Cook Qualifications Experience as a cook or in a related role required; ServeSafe Certified, and LTC background preferred Proven knowledge of basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations Basic math and counting skills Interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 lbs Benefits See your Schedule, Available shifts for Pick Up, and your pay subs (&more!) all in one place with Empeon.
