Requirements:
2+ years of relevant experience. Must be a team member that has culinary knowledge, café, porter, and/or restaurant experience. Experience as a Dietician or Hospital Cook/Chef preferred . Ability to work under pressure. Must be able to work morning and night shifts. Shifts and shift times vary. Able to speak, read and write English. Ability to handle correspondence in both English and Spanish a plus . Must know how to prepare and read recipes. Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation. Employer performs background check and drug testing/screening.
Responsibilities:
Food Safety and Hygiene:
Cooks will maintain clean food stations to ensure food safety standards.
Cooking:
Responsible for the preparation of foods according to standardized recipes and production methods. Ensure high quality using safe, sanitary food handling techniques during preparation service and storage. Monitors food and equipment to maintain proper temperature. Wraps, labels, and dates food products before storage and/or transportation. Prepare and cook foods following precise recipes that are designed to provide a high-quality nutritional meal, which may include option for special dietary restrictions.
