Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Line Cook to join Audubon's vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes with precision and flair, ensuring every plate meets our standards of excellence. Your energy and culinary expertise will contribute to creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills in a fast-paced, fine dining environment where attention to detail and food safety are paramount. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items with consistency, speed, and attention to presentation, focusing on sautéed dishes and other kitchen specialties Follow standardized recipes and portion controls to ensure quality and efficiency in meal preparation Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen station, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation protocols Assist in menu planning by suggesting new ideas and refining existing recipes to enhance guest satisfaction Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and rotation of ingredients to minimize waste Collaborate with team members to coordinate meal service during busy periods, supporting a smooth workflow Support catering events and special functions by preparing dishes according to specifications and maintaining high standards of service Experience Previous experience working in a restaurant or food service environment, preferably in country club settings Demonstrated culinary experience with a focus on food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation across various cooking methods Experience with dietary department requirements or dietary aide roles is a plus Knowledge of menu planning, food safety regulations, and catering operations is highly desirable Familiarity with the food industry standards for cleanliness, hygiene, and quality assurance Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Pay:
From $26.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
