Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, slicers, and food processors Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to strict sanitation standards Assist with meal assembly, portioning, and plating to ensure consistency and quality Follow food safety protocols related to food handling, storage, and temperature control Support menu planning efforts by suggesting improvements based on ingredient availability and customer preferences Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure smooth service flow Qualifications Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and food preparation methods Knowledge of safety standards in food production and food safety management practices Experience with dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation and basic culinary techniques Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen environment Knowledge of catering processes and menu planning is advantageous Embark on a rewarding culinary journey with us!
