Job Summary Join our vibrant culinary team as a Line Cook/Prep Cook, where your passion for food and dedication to excellence will shine! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes according to dietician planned meals,supporting the kitchen's daily operations, and ensuring every meal meets our rigorous safety and quality standards. Your culinary skills and teamwork will help create memorable dining experiences for our residents, all while maintaining an environment that celebrates the art of cooking. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary expertise and grow within a dynamic food service setting. Duties Prepare all dished according to prescribe dietary menu Operate kitchen according to all requirements and regulations, city, state, and federal. Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to standardized recipes and menu specifications Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, mixers, ovens, and fryers Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and cooking areas in compliance with food safety standards Assist in meal preparation for service periods, ensuring timely delivery of orders Support menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation methods Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene at all times Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to coordinate meal production and uphold quality consistency Skills Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a culinary team Ability to prepare meals for residents' dietary needs or restrictions Prior experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly advantageous Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, including slicing, chopping, and portioning using proper knife skills Familiarity with food safety management practices and safety standards in production environments Ability to adhere strictly to recipes and meal presentation guidelines Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with kitchen team members Experience with food industry operations or restaurant settings is preferred Knowledge of catering processes and menu planning enhances versatility in the role We value teamwork, and a commitment to delivering exceptional food experiences to our residents.
