Job Description

Job Summary Dinner Line Cook Melbourne Kitchen is looking for an experienced Line Cook to join our kitchen team for dinner service. Our dinner menu features an elevated, modern approach with steaks, composed entrées, small plates, and shareable dishes, so we're looking for someone who is comfortable working a busy restaurant line and takes pride in quality, consistency, and presentation. The right candidate should be dependable, organized, able to work efficiently under pressure, and comfortable executing dishes to our standards throughout service.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and execute menu items accurately and consistently during dinner service Work assigned stations including sauté, grill, fry, and/or pantry as needed Follow recipes, portioning standards, plating specifications, and ticket timing Properly cook and handle proteins, sauces, vegetables, and other components Complete station prep and maintain appropriate pars for service Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked workstation Follow all food safety, sanitation, labeling, and storage procedures Communicate with the kitchen team and expo to ensure dishes are prepared and plated on time Assist with opening, closing, and kitchen cleaning responsibilities Help maintain the quality and presentation expected from
Melbourne Kitchen Qualifications:
Previous line cook experience in a full-service restaurant strongly preferred Dinner-service experience preferred Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen Strong knife skills and understanding of basic cooking techniques Experience with grill, sauté, fryer, and general line equipment Ability to follow recipes and plating standards consistently Good communication and teamwork Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain composure during busy service Strong attention to detail and cleanliness We're looking for someone who wants to be part of building our dinner program and can consistently put out great food during service.
Pay:
$17.00 - $21.00 per hour
