The Beach House Restaurant at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort is a vibrant, casual beachside dining destination featuring both indoor and open-air seating just steps from the Gulf. Known for its fresh coastal flavors, lively bar, and relaxed atmosphere, the Beach House delivers memorable dining experiences for resort guests, owners, and locals alike.

Position SummaryThe Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and plating menu items according to Marina Bar & Grill recipes and Sandestin standards. This hands-on role requires efficiency, consistency, and attention to detail in a fast-paced indoor and outdoor beachfront kitchen. The ideal candidate works well in a team environment and thrives under pressure while maintaining quality and presentation standards.

Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPrepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standardsMaintain quality, consistency, and portion control for all dishesAssist with prep work including chopping, portioning, and ingredient preparationSet up and stock workstations prior to serviceMonitor inventory and communicate supply needs to the kitchen leadershipEnsure all food is stored, labeled, and rotated according to safety standardsMaintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and prep areasFollow all sanitation, food safety, and health regulationsCollaborate with culinary and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth serviceAssist with closing duties including cleaning, stocking, and resetting stationsAdapt to menu changes, special requests, and high-volume periodsSupport a positive, team-oriented kitchen cultureQualificationsPrevious cook or line experience preferred, especially in a high-volume or resort settingKnowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen operationsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under pressureStrong teamwork and communication skillsDependable, punctual, and guest-focusedFlexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidaysFood Handler certification required (or ability to obtain)Work EnvironmentCombination of indoor kitchen and open-air service areasFast-paced, high-volume seasonal resort environmentExposure to heat, humidity, and kitchen equipmentFrequent movement and standing for long periodsPhysical RequirementsStand for extended periods (8+ hours per shift)Lift, carry, and move items up to 40 lbs occasionallyBend, stoop, reach, twist, and kneel during prep and serviceWork in hot, humid, and sometimes cramped kitchen conditionsMaintain stamina during busy meal periods and high-volume serviceUse hands and arms continuously for cooking and prep tasks EOE M/D/F/V
