Culinary Cook 2 - Part Time - Walt Disney World

Job Description

Cast Members will act as a vital member of the kitchen, providing a safe, clean, and efficient workspace. These Cast Members are responsible for food and equipment prep at all stations within their kitchen and must be able to monitor food and product quality. In addition to having a high focus on Guest service, these Cast Members have a desire to learn, a passion for food service, and an interest in the culinary line of business. The Cook 2 role is perfect for advancing the fundamental skills of a Culinary professional and close relationships among all levels of culinary allow for diverse learnings, from recipe preparation to knife skill and equipment upkeep. Knife skills, food handling procedures, HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) knowledge, and knowledge of basic kitchen tools and ingredients are standard for our Culinary Cast Members. Close relationships between all levels of Culinary, from Chef to Cook 2, allow our Culinary Cast Members to practice training and leadership development in this high volume, fast paced team environment.

  • Responsibilities :
  • + Knife Skills + Food Handling procedures + HACCP Knowledge + Knowledge of basic kitchen tools and ingredients + Food and equipment prep at all stations within their kitchen + Monitor food and Product quality
  • Basic Qualifications :
  • + Must be at least 18 years of age for all available roles + Must have a passion for Culinary, demonstrated by 6 months of recent Food & Beverage exposure + Flexible scheduling availability including first and second shifts, third shift if applicable, weekends, holidays, overtime, and double shifts + Basic knowledge of sanitation and working safely in the kitchen + Passion to learn + Basic knife skills and equipment handling + Know basic ingredients and measurements + Knowledge of basic meal preparation and Cooking methods + Ability to prepare products according to recipe guidelines and maintain recipe and portioning standards + Ability to function as a team + Heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling + Ability to stand for long periods of time + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment + Part-Time roles require a minimum of THREE (3) days of

  • Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am or 5:00am. Please note that the principles of seniority are used to schedule all roles.
