The Prep Cook will be responsible for preparing ingredients, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and assisting chefs in executing recipes efficiently. Key Responsibilities:

Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing vegetables, fruits, and meats. Measure and portion ingredients according to recipes and kitchen needs. Assist chefs with basic cooking tasks, such as boiling, blanching, and marinating. Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations, equipment, and utensils. Ensure all food items are properly stored and labeled according to food safety guidelines. Monitor stock levels and communicate ingredient shortages to the kitchen manager. Follow proper sanitation and hygiene standards to prevent food contamination. Dispose of waste and food scraps in compliance with health regulations. Assist with dishwashing and general kitchen maintenance as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

Previous experience as a prep cook or in a similar kitchen role is a plus but not required. Basic knowledge of food safety and kitchen sanitation practices. Ability to follow instructions and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Willingness to learn and take on new kitchen tasks as needed. Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
