Candidate needs to have a positive attitude and be able to communicate and work well with others. Candidate also needs good cooking/knife skills, experience with different cooking techniques and general knowledge of operating commercial cooktops, ovens, fryers, flat tops, and salamanders, as well as prep equipment. The position will require the candidate to not only cook and prep, it will also include assisting in cleaning, weekly inventory, ordering, and maintaining a safe work environment. Knowledge of health code compliance, a minimum of food handlers' certification (Food manager preferred) and reliable transportation is required to qualify for this position. As with most restaurants we have higher volume times which the candidate must be able to handle (lunch/dinner rushes). We offer a competitive pay depending on experience for the initial 30 days after which pay may increase for the remainder of the 90-day trial period depending on performance. After one year of employment, we offer a week paid vacation and 3 days paid sick time.
