Prep Cook

As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, assisting in menu planning, and maintaining food safety standards. Responsibilities Prepare and chop ingredients for various dishes according to recipes and menu specifications. Assist in the preparation of meals, ensuring that all food handling and food safety guidelines are followed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Help with menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas. Participate in catering events as needed, ensuring high-quality food presentation and service. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or needs to management. Qualifications Previous experience in a kitchen environment, preferably as a Prep Cook or similar role. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities is a plus. Passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques within the culinary field.
