Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of menu items following established recipes and presentation standards Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, poaching stations, braising pots, and food processors safely and efficiently Maintain strict adherence to food safety protocols and sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and safe working environment Assist with menu planning and portion control to support high-volume food production Handle food with care, ensuring proper food handling techniques are followed at all times Support dietary department needs by preparing specialized meals in accordance with dietary restrictions and guidelines Participate in food production tasks including food prep, cooking, plating, and garnishing to ensure timely service Skills Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or catering environment, including fine dining settings Strong knowledge of food safety management and sanitizing procedures Skilled in various cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and meal preparation Excellent knife skills with the ability to operate kitchen equipment confidently and safely Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and high-volume production processes Background in dietary aide work or dietary department experience is a plus Familiarity with food industry standards for food handling, sanitation, and safety regulations Embark on a culinary journey where your skills make a difference!
