Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency and excellence in every dish Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, fryers, slicers, and other culinary tools Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation by adhering to safety standards in production and proper food handling procedures Assist in menu planning by suggesting improvements or new ideas based on ingredient availability and customer preferences Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication and timely meal preparation Follow recipe adherence strictly to ensure uniformity across all dishes served Keep workstations clean and organized, performing regular cleaning duties to meet health regulations Experience Previous food service or restaurant experience is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with kitchen operations and food preparation techniques Dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus, showcasing knowledge of special dietary needs and meal customization Strong knife skills with slicing techniques that promote efficiency and safety in food prep Experience in catering or large-scale meal preparation adds valuable versatility to your skill set Knowledge of food safety management practices ensures compliance with health standards and reduces risk of contamination Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams Culinary experience that includes menu planning, recipe development, and food industry best practices Embark on a rewarding culinary journey where your skills make a difference!
